Before the Brickell City Center transformed downtown Miami, it was a 5.4 million square foot development project that required 7,818 signs within. AI Signcrafters assisted in the design, value engineering, fabrication, and installation of all interior and exterior signs.
The sheer size of the project created a challenge, but the complex also required 94 different sign types to accompany sites like a forty-two-level hotel, two 15 level office buildings, a four-level retail shopping mall, two 12 level parking garages, and another two-level parking garage.
Examples of value engineering include, but are not limited to painted aluminum acrylic, oxidized aluminum and/or chem-metal laminated to aluminum in place of bronze, direct print graphics in lieu of etched graphics, vinyl in place of paint, etched zinc in place of etched stainless steel, and fabricated aluminum in place of solid stainless steel.
In the end, Brickell City Centre would become the largest privately funded mixed-use development in the United States, and it’s still thriving today.
