Brickell City Centre

Before Brickell City Centre transformed downtown Miami, it was a 5.4 million square foot development project that required 7,818 signs. AIS assisted in the design, value engineering, fabrication, and installation of all interior and exterior signs.

The scale of the project created its own challenge, and the complex required 94 different sign types across a forty-two-level hotel, two 15-level office buildings, a four-level retail shopping mall, two 12-level parking garages, and another two-level parking garage.

Examples of value engineering included painted aluminum acrylic, oxidized aluminum and/or chem-metal laminated to aluminum in place of bronze, direct-print graphics in lieu of etched graphics, vinyl in place of paint, etched zinc in place of etched stainless steel, and fabricated aluminum in place of solid stainless steel.

At completion, Brickell City Centre was recognized as one of the largest privately funded mixed-use developments in the United States.
